Aim

Our aim is to give hope and build the lives of as many Orphans as possible by:

  • Educating them to a suitable level, for employment. Any private tuition needed by the child will be provided for.
  • Giving them love and attention that every child so deserves
  • Helping them overcome their nightmares by giving proper counselling
  • Allow them to watch News, documentaries and certain films… this is help them in knowing what the outside world is like and help them in their development.
  • Indoor and Outdoor sports… board games, tennis etc
  • Organising outings on a regular basis to places of interest, parks, museums etc
  • Arranging for visits by their existing family members such as mothers, uncles, aunts etc. We will aim to keep this family contact as frequent as possible as we feel that at the end of the day, no amount of counselling or looking after can replace family love. The children need a sense of security while with us. If they feel that they can still keep in touch with their families, mental development might be faster as there is less negative energy in the child.
  • Every long holiday, the child will be given the opportunity to visit their home. This is useful for the child’s mental frame as he then knows that our place is effectively like a boarding school and he gets the opportunity to be with his family once a year.
  • Every child will have a savings account opened for them, so that when they eventually leave us, there is some financial security for them.
  • After education, arrange where ever possible appropriate employment. If however, no employment is immediately available outside, then if there is a vacancy in the Orphanage, this can be used as either a permanent job or a temporary one till something more appropriate comes up. Either way, we will endeavour to make sure that the child is not “left out in the cold”. He will still be cared for to an extent till he gets a job.
  • Once this orphan gets into gainful employment, we would ask him to contribute a percentage of his salary every  month , to the orphanage. We propose to set this figure at 1% but any amount will be taken. This is as a way of saying thank you for looking after me! This will also help him remember that he got to this level in life because of the orphanage and to think of other children who are now going through the same thing he went through. This will build moral responsibility into this individual and the country as a whole will benefit.

We also help the poor and needy with their medical expenses, improving their living conditions and helping them improve their lifestyle.
